From their entry into the motorcycle market in 1955 Yamaha have grown to be one of the big four motorcycle manufacturers in Japan. During the 80’s Yamaha introduced the EXUP, a new exhaust system for 4-stroke engines that included a power valve which optimized the width of an engines powerband.
